The common masses always say that new is best. Well, anyone that know anything knows that a statement like that is just trendy B.S. In fact, with most products, older is actually best. Things were built with more care, more expensive detail and people were not cutting corners using technology. A good question is, when it comes to HVAC equipment, is newer really best? The answer to that is a mixed one. It all depends on the type of HVAC equipment you’re talking about. Naturally, any of the advanced parts of today’s heating and air conditioning technology is naturally going to be better than anything older because it did not exist. However, when you are talking about things like basic central heating and air conditioning system units, those are in fact better with the older models. This is what I found through personal experience with a central heating and air conditioning system that was built 20 years ago, and a central heating and air conditioning system that was built today. The lifespan of the older central heating and air conditioning systems were longer before you either needed a brand new one, or, before you had to make your first heating and cooling repair call to the local air conditioning and heating company in your area. All of this of course, is just my personal opinion. You can make your own opinions. I would be curious to see what others think of this subject. What would your experience be with new central HVAC systems vs the old central HVAC systems?
