When I was a child making reports for college, the internet was still fairly new for average toiling class families.
- Sure, there was lots of great information out there in the mid to late 1990s if you knew exactly where to look.
But it was largely the mornings of the wild west as far as credibility of information is upset. I suppose that the concept of fake news seems like a relatively new phenomenon. In all honesty, it’s easily just the new incarnation of the weaponization of misinformation via the digital sphere, we’ve seen that behavior in varying forms for the past several decades. I try to focus on the great information on the internet instead of the bad. If I have a technical question, I often have great luck with forums devoted to the individual topics. After a bit of searching, I found this amazing forum that is full of heating & cooling professionals & experts. Often they have discussions amongst themselves about complicated problems in their field that aren’t definitely settled or self-obvious. But more often than not, they are there to give advice & help to people like me who don’t suppose anything about residential heating & cooling. I had a question regarding filters & how to find a single that collects viral particles. None of the cooling system filters in the store have a HEPA rating, however I found out through the forum that my filter contractor sells an high-priced filter that is just below HEPA quality. Even at 95% filtration opposed to HEPA’s 99%, these filters are satisfactory at collecting viral particles in the air.
