I nearly burned my home down because of our space heater

Wow, I absolutely dodged a bullet that time… I almost made a mistake that would have caused a lot of pain and destruction, and I wouldn’t have been able to blame it on anyone besides myself.

It all started with the stupid space heating system that I purchased, then my partner warned myself and others not to purchase the space heater, and however, I thought that we needed a space heater, and I had never seen a deal that fantastic for a space heater… The two of us were at a garage sale when I saw the space heater… Granted, the space heating system looked much older than I was, but it was literally only $5.

There were burn marks on the metal grate, even though I figured that this was typical for an aged space heater. Most cheap space furnaces start at $50, so I figured that if I could make this cheaper used space heating system work for our home, I would have scored a wonderful bargain. My partner was upset about purchasing a used space heating system from a garage sale, and I ignored her advice and purchased the heating system anyways. When I took the space heating system home, I immediately blocked it in and turned it on. Besides the odor of burning dust mites and cobwebs, I could tell that the space heating system was creating a lot of heat. It was legitimately warm in the kitchen, and I was ecstatic. However, after a few minutes, I noticed that the burning odor was still there, but it odored like burning rubber instead; After a quick inspection, I noticed that the power cord was melting. I immediately turned it off and unblocked it, and I was legitimately thankful that my home wasn’t burned down.
