I can’t take a cooler full of water with me so we have to buy a lot of bottles of water
One of my favorite places to visit is the zoo. The city zoo has a lot of really cool displays and places. There are reptiles, alligators, and a wide variety of animals from right here at home. The city zoo also has some animals that are from other countries like rhinoceros, giraffes, hippopotamus, and elephants. It probably takes all day to see everything in the zoo. If you really take time to read all of the different plaques and interact with the animals, it’s probably more like two whole days. I love being able to go to the zoo when the weather outside is cool and calm. The animals seem to like the cool weather better. Even though some of the animals are from warmer climates, they tend to be more lethargic and less active during the summer. I don’t prefer to take my kids to the zoo during the summer, for many different reasons. A lot of the animals are inside where it is cool and that means there are less things for the kids to see. The temperatures are really high and that means that the kids have to stay hydrated. I can’t take a cooler full of water with me so we have to buy a lot of bottles of water. Even if the price of admission is free during the summer, I still don’t think it’s a great idea to take my family there when the temperature is over 90°. There are a lot of other activities that are fun when it’s hot outside. We could go somewhere with air conditioning like the video arcade, ymca, or the aquarium, or we can swim at the city pool.
