I played some ball yesterday, four games to be exact, and I didn’t win one game. We had close games but I ended up running out of steam and couldn’t close the deal on any of the games. We played for a six pack of beer, so yesterday ended up being a costly day for me in the sand. I haven’t been playing much since getting an MRI of my knees in December, which showed that I had no more cartilage in both knees and that they would need to be replaced soon. I think the local business sells knee braces but I probably just need to quit playing before I end up not being able to work at the HVAC company doing my duct cleaning jobs. I will probably have to get knee replacements at some point, but they like to postpone it as long as they can because the artificial knees only last 20 years maximum. I think all of the years of doing a/c repair and installing things in homes such as radiant heated floors did a number to my knees, along with 30 years of volleyball and a few years of skydiving. I’ve definitely lived my years so far, but I would like to be able to get around on foot without the aid of a cane or a walker. I need to meet with the HVAC repairman later today for my water heater installation, and I want to ask him about his knees because I know that he got them replaced about ten years ago now.
