The hardest part about the gym is getting there.
First, you have to find an hour block in your schedule to get all sweaty and gross.
Then, you have to drive there. Many people find it difficult to find the time, while others are worried that they will not know what to do when they get there. Nobody wants to look like a gym rookie, but everyone has to start somewhere. I am a rookie, and I am not proud of it. After an hour long pep talk and some motivation from social media, it is time to change into my work out gear. I finally pulled up to the gym. I sat in the parking lot for about a half an hour researching what to do when I got inside. Finally, I walk and notice that it is surprisingly cold in the building. I look around and see everyone sweating and wonder how long they had been there or if the air conditioner had just kicked in. I am not sure why I expected to walk in to a sauna, but I was very pleased to discover that the air conditioner was working properly while I worked up a sweat. After an hour of physical activity, I found myself nowhere as sweaty as I would have been if I had gone for a run outside. I was starting to love the gym! Not only was the air conditioner functioning great in the building, but there were ample fans all around the machines to cool you down as you work out. I was pleasantly surprised by this. As it turns out, I ended up loving my first time at the gym!
