We have a bonfire party this Friday and I am going to invite my friend Vinyette to come along as she likes to sing and is pretty good at playing the drums. I have this big djembe drum but my friends think that it is too loud, so I will buy a smaller one this week and bring that one instead. They are afraid that the cops will come because of the noise from the big drum, so to play it safe I am going to get a smaller one and play that one instead. The local business near me sells them for $100 and I’ve been wanting a smaller drum, so once I get paid from the local contractor this week I will buy the little baby drum. I like the sound it makes and could use another drum when I play our gigs in other towns, which would make it a lot easier for me to carry the thing around compared to this big drum I have now. I am working today at the HVAC company and then I will go to this house to do a heat pump repair, after that I will go to the music store to make sure they still have the small drum for sale. The air conditioned music store is a great place to practice because the walls are all soundproofed and you can be as loud as you want without bothering any of the local businesses nearby. Today will be a fun day and I can’t wait to get to the music store to try out the new drum.
