My pet is my best acquaintance on this entire planet! He and I spend every single afternoon together and every moment of that afternoon he has attached to my hip staring lovingly into my eyes.
I am not able to imagine going places without him. That’s why it’s so challenging to travel at times when I cannot control the living situations. You likely would be surprised how often people do not want you bringing a 55 lb pit mix into their properties or hotel rooms. The truth is he happens to be the best pet on earth and he would never hurt a soul… Anyone is so fortunate to be able to meet him, but they do often pass judgment. That’s why I wind up having to sneak him into various locations sometimes… it’s not regularly the most comfortable thing to have to do. Most recently I was staying in a relatively cheap hotel on my way back to my property in the northern region of the country. I needed to bring my pet with because there is no way I could just leave him behind in the heat for the length of a week. But I also needed to catch some sleep. My solution was to wrap him in a sweatshirt and smuggle him up into the hotel room that I was staying in. The problem was I did not expect that the hotel room would have a non-working HVAC system when we got there. After I was sweating a great deal carrying him up the stairs in a thick sweatshirt we were both completely overheated and ready for some cool AC. Instead we found a blazing hot room with honestly no circulating air around us. I played around with that Heating and A/C equipment but was unable to get the A/C equipment to start up. I could not even get the fan to even work… Eventually there was only one thing I could do, lug my pet back down the stairs in a sweatshirt, stash him in the car, and go report the broken A/C equipment to the front desk.
