I phoned the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company, because I was sure my furnace had some issues.
The Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional arrived, and after several cursory questions, he disappeared into the basement.
I then heard nothing coming from the basement once the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional arrived. I thought I might hear some grumbling or the sound of the furnace being repaired. It was so quiet down there that I feared the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional may be dead. I found my fiance from his office and asked him to go down and check on the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional. I told him what I was thinking, although he rolled his eyes at me. He said not all people work loudly and cause excessive commotion. Even though he was resistant, he still went downstairs to talk to the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional. When he came upstairs, he said the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional was fine, and he was nearly done with the furnace repair. Thirty minutes later, the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional emerged from the basement. He apologized for worrying me. He said he was partially deaf, so he worked quietly, and he didn’t get too loud. I never would have guessed the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional at our home could not hear. He spoke perfectly and never faltered with his answers. He explained to my fiance he learned to read lips early on, and he had most of his hearing until he was in his early twenties. The nice part about being a deaf Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional was that surrounding noises didn’t bother him and took his attention away from the task. My fiance told me he enjoyed talking to the Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional, but that I had to know before jumping to conclusions.
