We are doing a show next month, our first real paid gig, and if we do well they will have us come back and do more shows for them every week.
That is basically our short term goal; to be playing in beach bars four nights a week and then in the winter to be playing in the ski resorts. We can make about $250 a night playing, so that means we can each make about $2000 a month playing music in bars and clubs. I only spend about a thousand a month to live, so I’d be all set. HVAC equipment sales could end up being a thing of the past soon if this music thing works out, which means no more going to the heating dealership every day and clocking in for eight hours. I’d love to play music like this till I am 80 years old, if I end up living that long. I do like doing heat pump repairs and selling smart thermostats in the HVAC business, but playing music and having fun in clubs seems a lot more interesting don’t you think? Life is going by really fast so I am going to try and make it a good ending before it is all over. My bandmate is an HVAC tech and maybe if we need money on the road we could do some ductwork repair jobs for the clubs that we will be performing in. I don’t really care how I make my money, as long as I get to play music each week I am happy.
