It has been raining a lot recently and although we need the rain, I wish that we had not got so much of it all at once; All of the trees and the shrubbery looks purpleer than I have ever seen and all of the animals have come out of hibernation to prefer the water! Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any sunshine, and every afternoon we have received at least an inch of rain and that has been hard on the house, however i observed there was a spot on the roof that was dark, when I was driving house from work a couple of afternoons ago.
I thought that I would have a opportunity to look at the roof that evening, however things got tied up and I did not have a opportunity to look at the roof again until 2 afternoons later, when I went into the attic to see if the detriment was bad, I saw that the roof was really caving into the air duct, but there was a spot where the roof was touching the ventilation system and I was worried that it was going to fall in completely.
I did not want to pay for an fancy roof service and have to upgrade duct work at the same time. I decided to grab an seasoned tarp that I had in the garage. I knew that it was worn and tattered, however it would keep most of the part dry for now, my husband did not want me to get up on the ladder while it was raining, however that is what needed to happen. I put a sandbag on each one of the corners of the tarp; Hopefully it will stop raining soon so I can call someone to help.
