The tree damaged the HVAC system

The rain has caused a lot of problems like flooding, mudslides, and closed roads.

People have been evacuated from their homes.

Schools have been closed and shelters have been set up. The entire state has been receiving record setting amounts of snow and rainfall. It has rained for days and days and that means that all of the trees have very loose roots. One tree fell in the backyard and landed on top of the HVAC system. Some components of the HVAC system are located outside of my house. The AC compressor and the fan are outdoors. When the tree fell, it crushed the entire thing. The rain finally let up yesterday and I contacted the local AC repair company to see if they could give me an estimate for the repairs. They were busy and would not be able to do the repairs, but they did promise to send someone to me the same day just to give me an estimate. I actually thought that the estimate was very reasonable and I told the repair company that I would be happy to have them complete the work. I had to get a company to remove the tree first. The AC repair company would not do any of that work. I honestly didn’t think they would be able to do both services, but I was happy they gave me the name of some tree removal companies. They believed the companies would be able to remove the tree and all of the branches for a reasonable price. I’m very thankful that all of this happened when we didn’t need to use our air conditioner.
