And I thought the hokey pokey is what it was all about, how wrong I was! I have an hour and a half of work to do and then I am meeting a bunch of ballers on the beach to burn my Saturday in the sand.
I will probably play a couple games of ball, but I really need to limit my playing because my knees have seen better days.
I think tomorrow I may play some music with my bandmate so I need to save some energy for that because drumming takes a lot of shoulder strength. The local business is going to pay us to play outside of their club next to these portable a/c devices. We will play for two hours and they are going to pay us $200, which is a good amount considering we also will make money in tips from the customers. I like that they have climate control for us because it can get pretty hot out there in the day, and having some nice air conditioning beside us really makes it a lot easier to pound on the drums for a couple of hours while singing the blues. We are supposed to be going to the mountains in a week to do some gigs for a few clubs up there, which is going to also be good for my knees because there isn’t a lot of beach volleyball up in the mountains from what I’ve heard. I will do my HVAC work up there in the day and then we will do shows at night.
